What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver position at Amaray Care?
Amaray Care, LLC is looking for On-Call / PRN Caregivers to join our team. The Caregiver is responsible for the physical care and emotional support of our clients who may no longer be able to take care of themselves due to illness, injury, surgery, or disability.
These are temporary positions for shifts that become available with short notice. Caregiver must specify days and times that they are available to work and have reliable transportation.
You must be able to care for our clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect. You will encourage and remain empathetic to the clients at all times.
Responsibilities :
Home assistance - Provide light housekeeping, medication reminders / administration, run errands or provide transportation if needed.
Accompany clients to appointments and assist with medications. Prepare meals, purchase food and provide personal assistance with general living needs.
Personal services could include toileting, bathing, feeding, transferring, re-positioning, catheter maintenance and grooming.
Provide any financial aid if needed such as balancing checkbooks, going to the bank or helping the client to pay their bills.
Companionship - Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging and assisting an individual. Motivating our clients to be more independent by encouraging them to participate in ROM exercises daily.
Requirements :
- Valid Driver's License
- Valid CPR / First Aid Certificate
- High school diploma preferred.
- Must be able to complete and pass a Criminal Background check.
- Physical endurance to transfer, re-position and to lift up to 25 pounds or more at a time
- Ability to reach, bend, kneel and stand for (sometimes) a long period of time
- Experience using a Hoyer Lift, motorized wheelchair and other adaptive equipment a PLUS!
