We are seeking our next Adjunct Faculty - Industrial Technology who will be all-in on our mission and who will Teaching responsibilities include time spent in the classroom, laboratory, online courses, or tech supported classes, and in immediate preparation for respective courses; maintaining and improving competence in subjects being taught; and preparing teaching materials.
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate Degree or higher and demonstrated competencies in Industrial Technology, i.e., HVAC, Instrumentation, or related field. Work experience and professional certification may substitute for educational requirements.

EXPERIENCE:
Required: Three (3) years of industry-relevant work experience.
Preferred: Five (5) years of industry-relevant work experience.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach Industrial Technology courses as assigned each semester. Courses may be scheduled during mornings, afternoons, or evenings. Locations include any Amarillo College Campus, or any off-campus instructional site (Dumas, Hereford, partner high schools, and TDCJ Unit).
Perform teaching activities, including classroom instruction, directing projects, grading classroom and lab assignments, and assisting with student coursework, research and internships.
Plan, develop, and present organized classroom instructions and learning opportunities for students in accordance with approved course outlines.
Teach day and/or evening courses as required.
Teach off-campus, dual credit and online courses as required.
Develop curriculum.
Prepare syllabus i.e., determine course content that is consistent with the catalog description.
Select instructional materials (textbooks).
Assist with registration. Participate in recruitment activities.

This role routinely uses standard classroom and office equipment such as microphones, audio/video-recorders, computers, overhead projectors, phones, copy machines, filing cabinets and fax machines.
