Job Description
Role : IT Resiliency Analyst
Location : NYC Remote for now and then onsite Prefer candidates in & around NY/NJ
Duration: Long Term C2C
Primary skills: IT DR (Disaster Recovery), Cloud DR with AWS, Cloud Computing DR Architects Senior profiles needed
Secondary Skills: Risk Assessment, BIA, DR Test Planning, DR Testing
Need someone with DR, AWS & BIA Skills (Business Impact Analysis)
IT DR with Cloud DR with AWS is Mandatory
Required Experience
3 years of experience in IT Resiliency / IT Disaster Recovery planning in a large, enterprise environment
or
3 years of experience in systems administration, or application infrastructure administration, or similar technical role that supported Disaster Recovery for their systems / applications;
Minimum 3-5 years of IT experience in a data center environment / systems administration working with medium to large-scale infrastructures;
Minimum 3 years' experience in business or IT relationship management, preferably in an IT or higher education environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of IT Disaster Recovery / High Availability in the cloud.
- Experience with recovery in virtualized environments.
- Basic understanding of data center functions such as: system and database administration, networking, storage management, and backup/recovery technologies.
- Knowledge of systems administration (platform-agnostic)
- Familiarity with application administration concepts
- Knowledge of cloud hosting and recovery functions
- Knowledge of network administration functions
- Familiarity with application interdependency concepts (i.e., data sourcing for applications)
- Experience in analyzing, recommending and improving Disaster Recovery plans, policies and procedures.
- Ability to use experience and judgment to solve problems, and to plan and accomplish goals.
- Fluency in written and spoken English. Ability to bridge the gap between technical and nontechnical business teams.
- Ability to use expertise to influence and advocate for improved practice and to advance organizational outcomes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Preferred Certification/Other Qualifications
Related certification from Business Continuity Institute (CBCI), Disaster Recovery Institute (CBCP), or other recognized related certification.
Preferred Experience
- 3 years Ability to craft and deliver presentations to mixed technical and nontechnical audiences, at all levels, up to C-suite.
- Experience with technical writing &/or documentation
- Experience with project management methodologies
- Experience with change management as relates to IT Resiliency / Disaster Recovery planning.
- Experience with Business Continuity principles, strategies and best practices.
- Familiarity with datacenter operations.
- Familiarity with system vulnerabilities and security issues as related to IT Resiliency
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of Application Impact Analysis (AIA) or Business Impact Analysis (BIA) methodologies
- Experience with HA/DR in the AWS environment, including snapshot based recovery.
- Familiarity with Rubrik backups and Disaster Recovery functionality
