As a tenured people manager, you will know how to build and grow a strong technical program team. We expect you to write strategic documents and influence large groups of senior stakeholders. You must be able turn ambiguous problems into simple solutions. A successful candidate for this possesses superb business judgment, a high degree of customer-obsession, has a track record of delivering results, is strong on collaboration, and is data driven.
Key job responsibilities
- Work with engineering, operations, finance, procurement, etc. to deliver the engineering solution, across NA
- Manage complex cross team programs from ideation to delivery
- Create transparency and predictability with roadmaps, planning, and partner management
- Ensure goals are met on time and hitting our quality bar
- Manage delivery schedules and emergent tasks while mitigating risks, managing tradeoffs, and eliminating blockers
- Participate in design decisions, surfacing and mitigating technical risks, driving complex integrations with internal and 3rd party solutions, and identifying opportunity to create operational efficiencies
- Set and embody the team culture and standards consistent with Amazon’s leadership principals
- Drive alignment with leadership in operations and other engineering teams across AMZL and NASC.
