We are looking for Decomm Universal Technicians to join our expanding team as part of our Work Based Learning Program (WBLP). Amazon has multiple WBLP trainee openings between July 2024 - September 2024. Trainees will participate in our 12-week work and training program in our Oregon facilities. This position requires the successful candidate report to a site location with the ability to work 40 hours/week and must be able to work 10 hour shifts as needed.

• Installing new rack equipment
• Decommissioning existing racks
• Repairing and diagnosing broken servers
• Handling computer equipment and parts
• Managing network hear during installation, decommissioning, and repair

A day in the life
All candidates should be willing to work both independently and with a team. Work prioritization, organization skills, effective communication, and the ability to react quickly are critical to being successful.

Physical Requirements:

• Walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch. Work at heights from ladders.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds unassisted; and participate in group lists for 41 pounds or more
• Must be able to lift loads of up to 40 pounds and carry them for short distances
• Continuously climb and descend stairs safely (applies to sites with stairs)
• Reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance
• Push or pull heavy objects into position
• Daily travel between sites may be required
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
