Job description
QM6 Logistics is a contracted FedEx Delivery Service looking for enthusiastic team players to deliver FedEx packages. Delivery Associates strive to get every order to the customer’s door on-time. We offer full time opportunities at our Troutdale location 2-6 days a week! The Driver / operator of company vehicles must provide courteous and efficient pick-up and delivery of packages while checking shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions.
Requirements
- Be able to acquire a Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical)
- Must be able to successfully pass a 5-panel drug screening, and background check.
- Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid drivers license.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
- Follow routes and time schedule
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
- Safely drive and operate your delivery vehicle at all times.
- Use a handheld device for routing information, and customer delivery information.
- Must be comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions in addition to loading and unloading packages constantly.
- Strive to deliver packages and smiles to our customers efficiently and courteously!
- Perform the following tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Deliver packages up to 70 lbs with assistance of a dolly/ Hand Truck
- Ability to get in and out of the van 100 times a day, walk up and down stairs through your shift, twist and bend constantly in the work day.
Skills
- Must be able to communicate verbally with customers and team members respectfully and effectively.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good driving record with no traffic violations
- High school degree
