What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at Amazon DSP?
Cargo To You (CAYO) is an Amazon Delivery Service Partner (DSP) looking for an experienced operations manager to oversee our second delivery location in Middleborough MA.
We have been in operation since September 2020 at our current location in Revere MA, and were recently awarded a second DSP as a part of the Pinnacle program.
Since this is considered a new location, we will be ramping up starting on March 26th, 2024, and will be operating at "peak" capacity a month and a half later. (Peak capacity is approx. 20 routes per day)
As an operations manager at a new location, you will have the opportunity to help shape our company as we grow, by developing and maintaining a strong culture of safety, quality, and teamwork at our new location.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining multiple core areas of our business including, driver scheduling, fleet management, training, vendor relationships, Amazon relationships, and overall team management and motivation.

This opportunity is for a driven individual that is willing to work hard, take accountability, and meaningfully contribute to a successful business.
You will work 5 day a week, one being a weekend day. The business operation time is from approximately 10:30am to 9:30pm. (subject to change).
We operate 361-days a year, which includes weekends and holidays. We are closed on New Years Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas (sometimes the day after Christmas too).

- Tues- Sat

Dispatch Duties:
- Arrive at our distribution location at the time required to perform multiple dispatch duties necessary to make sure everything is ready for the day. This includes but is not limited to verifying vans are ready for Delivery Associates (DAs) to start their safety inspections, devices are charged and distributed, routes are assigned as needed, and a stand-up meeting is conducted with all DAs covering safety, quality, and any necessary updates.
Performance Management:
- Manage the daily performance of DAs to ensure safety and quality
- Coach DAs on their performance.
- Ensure new drivers are trained to our standards.
- Analyze the weekly scorecard and put together coaching for DAs that have areas of improvement.
- Work with multiple Amazon stakeholders concerning DA metrics as well as DSP metrics
Human Resources:
- Interviewing and onboarding candidates
- Scheduling, PTO tracking, timecard review/approval
- Injury reporting
Fleet Management/ Light Maintenance:
- Monitor and schedule preventative maintenance, recall/repair scheduling, accident intake forms, organize vehicle inspections, cleanliness, rental/branded van procurement, light maintenance as needed (changing light bulbs, adjusting steps, etc).
Strategic Planning:
- You will be our number one at this new location. Your input on the day to day, and high level picture, will be critically important.
- Creative problem solving is crucial to this position
Miscellaneous Operations:
- Need to be ready, willing, and able to do any aspect of the DA job if an emergency arises, including rescues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be at least 21 to apply
- Must have a valid US Driver's License
- Must be eligible to work in the US
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Experience with larger vehicles is a plus
- Must be physically able to do the job
- Ability to lift and carry 50lbs without assistance
- Cannot have any physical restrictions on lifting, bending, and stooping required to do the job
- Ability to think on your feet and problem solve
- Ability to maintain a level head in stressful situations
- Must be able to work at a quick and even pace
- Being on your feet up to 10 hours per day while walking 3-4 miles per day
- Must be a safe driver and observe all traffic rules and company safety policies
- Must be comfortable driving and working in inclement weather (rain,snow,heat,wind,etc.)
- Must treat everyone with respect and vehicles as their own
- Must be computer literate and able to operate and teach others to operate a smartphone/GPS device
- Fluent in English (required) / Fluent in Spanish (strong plus)
- Management Experience (some required, DSP management experienced STRONG PLUS)
- Customer Service Experience required. Must be respectful and polite to all customers and stakeholders.

Delivery Driver Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely drive and operate your delivery vehicle at all times.
- Use hand held device for routing information, customer delivery information.
- Must be comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions.
- Load and unload packages to be delivered
- Lift packages up to 50 lbs
