- Bachelor's degree or five years of Security Specialist security experience
- Minimum of five years’ experience with NISPOM, NISP and hands on experience with DSS/DCSA Security Vulnerability Assessments
- Minimum of five years’ experience with personnel security, investigations, physical security, document control, information systems security, preparing and processing DD 254's, FOCI, and visitor control
- Current DCSA FSO Certification
- Minimum three years of experience with hands on contractor experience with Facility Clearance Level (FCL)
- Minimum three years of experience contractor experience with Foreign Ownership Control and Influence (FOCI) submission and maintenance
- This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance.
Amazon Web Services (AWS), US Amazon Dedicated Cloud (USADC), is currently seeking an Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) to help design and implement a strategy to scale and manage the AWS DoD security program that is compliant with the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) Contracts and National Industrial Security Program (NISP) in our Virginia office. We are looking for an enthusiastic person with deep customer focus that can scale our program to meet the demands of multiple customers. Excellent communications skills and strategic planning skills are a must. This position will report to the USADC Security Manager of DoD Operations.

Job duties will include:
- Provide support to the FSO that may include interfacing with program management to address security issues and ensure that we are seen as a business enabler
- Support business development, review and provide input to RFP's and author security volumes as required
- Serves as the primary point of contact and principal adviser to customers on matters concerning the management of information as it relates to the handling and protections of CUI
- Advises customers on E.O. 13556 policy and implementation matters
- Collaborate with the FSO and corporate security personnel for security metrics as well as escalating possible issues to leadership that could impact operations
- Assist in Developing implementation plans, and works with customers to identify CUI categories and their associated markings, safeguards, dissemination and decontrol procedures
- Manage the inventory of controlled unclassified information
- Assist in development and implement the CUI Awareness, Training and Education program
- Processing inbound and outbound classified/CUI mail and receipt records
- Maintain various daily logs for a variety of administrative functions associated with CUI controls
- Follow and enforce the AWS Security Standard Operating Procedures
- Review, track, and monitor security clearance processing activities
- Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams
- Perform other support functions as directed by the FSOs/DoD Manager of DoD Security Operations

- In depth experience with government security databases such as DISS, JPAS, NISS and e-QIP
- Working knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives (ICD's) - to include ICD 704, 705 and 503
- Understanding of export control requirements as related to the NISP as well as Insider Threat experience
- NCMS involvement and certifications are preferred
- Experience operating a Multiple Facility Organization (MFO)
- Current SCI Eligibility
