Job summary
Companies are using data to build new and exciting products that make all of our lives just a little better. Have you ever wondered how it all starts? You’re in luck. AWS is seeking an experienced and detail oriented Program Manager to join the exciting AWS Database teams.

The candidate’s main duties will focus on establishing and facilitating implementation of Internal and External Enablement Programs for core database services. As a Program Manager, you will be in a unique role and will represent the Service Team and manage cross-organizational communication between Product Owners, Business Development, Solution Architecture, and Marketing teams to create high impact customer interactions. Successful candidates will be natural self-starters who have Project or Program management and marketing experience. The Program Manager will be comfortable with ambiguity and be able to thrive in an ever-changing work environment. You will work to define and implement programs and events to help customers quickly and efficiently innovate with data.

Key job responsibilities
Envision, propose and assist in the creation of new mechanisms and processes to improve customer experience, brand experience, product experience, employee experience, and business performance. Examples may include:
  • Create organizations internal branding site and maintain. This will include creativity on how to present our organization to internal audience, employee stories, design work, updating open roles, and create innovate ways to market on different platforms to drive traffic
  • Onboard new service team onto programs
  • Create and design internal facing sites for training programs
  • Define and implement scalable processes to organize and launch product workshops and events
  • Coordinate, manage and run internal and external events for our customers
  • Collect feedback and propose solutions to improve customer experience while remaining frugal
  • Coordinate and manage event logistics, ie obtain approvals, identify and secure event locations of different sizes and formats, audio/visual, security and catering
  • Collaborate with appropriate teams to define and track objectives, goals and deliverables
  • Be an effective written and verbal communicator to clearly articulate program objectives, goals and progress to upper management
  • Strive for high standards and continuously work to simplify and improve
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of AWS Database Services
