DESCRIPTION
IT Communications is seeking a curious, self-motivated, and creative communications professional who is looking to apply their skills and experience in innovative ways. An ideal candidate will want to be part of a team that does nothing but think about ways to more effectively communicate with colleagues while working to craft communications and enable messaging channels that will support executive strategies across Amazon IT. In this role, you will help develop and manage the strategy for our executive communications program across the Engine organization.
We’re looking for a candidate who can exercise high judgement and interface directly with leadership to help deliver key narratives, content, and events while leveraging data and communications insights to optimize the customer experience.
The ideal candidate will be a strong communications manager to develop and scale the executive communications strategy. You will have strong verbal and written communications skills and be comfortable taking initiative, operating at a global scale, understanding cultural and local preferences, and working across teams in an agile environment. Your peers are level-headed, top-tier performers who insist on high standards, advocate passionately for customers, and proactively take the lead when necessary.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage executive social thought leadership programs and editorial calendar
- Develop compelling and original communication materials that support leadership growth strategies and thought leadership programs
- Provide internal communications support and counsel to senior leadership
- Work cross-functionally to drive collaborative and integrated communications plans and events
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3 years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
