Amazon SageMaker is looking for talented software development engineers to join the growing SageMaker Experiences organization. The SageMaker Experiences org owns SageMaker Studio, Studio Classic, the AWS SageMaker Console and is expanding to build further Machine Learning experiences to delight our customers. Each of these products include performant front-end applications and distributed cloud systems to deliver reliable, scalable, collaborative and state of the art IDEs and experiences to customers in over thirty regions (and counting) around the world. The team’s mission is to develop delightful experiences for all ML customers ranging from curious developers to experienced ML engineers. SageMaker Studio is the main entry point for all machine learning activities within SageMaker, and SageMaker is laser-focused on facilitating AI/ML for both enterprises and individuals.
Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Front End Engineer on the Amazon SageMaker Experiences team, you will be responsible for:
* Owning and delivering key features within interactive ML applications;
* Working closely with UX designers and product managers to own delightful customer experiences;
* Leading team design reviews striving to raise the bar on best practices and good design patterns;
* Raising the bar for operational rigor for a fast-growing AWS service;
* Contributing to the development of engineers within the “two pizza” scrum team; and
* Engaging with customers and other AWS partners to continually identify product pain points.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4 years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
- 5 years of front-end developer creating prototypes or wire-frames for enterprise web applications or workflows experience
- Experience developing with MVC/MVM frameworks (e.g. React.JS, AngularJS, Vue)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of web services technologies such as SOAP, HTTP, WSDL, XSD, and REST
- Experience in a broad range of software design approaches and common UX patterns.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $134,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
