Job summary
Interested in being part of a team that’s pushing the bounds of what’s possible with quantum technology?
We are looking for a lab engineer to help build up new quantum laboratory infrastructure. You will work closely with our existing quantum science and engineering team to define requirements and design, build, and maintain key components of a state-of-the-art quantum laboratory environment. You will also work cross-functionally with others in the science and engineering team to support and enable their work measuring novel quantum devices.
Potential responsibilities may include:
- Building up new laboratory infrastructure
- Design, construction, and maintenance of laboratory mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems
- Working collaboratively with research scientists and engineers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6 years working in engineering/scientific/data center environments
- Bachelors in science or engineering
- Working knowledge of digital and/or analog electronics
- Experience integrating complex laboratory equipment with building infrastructure
- Automation and scripting using Python
- Experience maintaining cryogenic and/or vacuum systems
- Strong operational and organizational skills
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems in research or engineering facilities
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: analog/digital electronics, CAD modeling/mechanical system design
- Basic scripting experience
