Position Title: Risk Manager III
Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts
Position Responsibilities:
Identify, design, develop, implement, and execute new and existing processes, policies, goals, and solutions to reduce potential risks. Create schedules, identify, and communicate risks to stakeholders, define risk mitigation strategies, and facilitate appropriate engineering solutions. Review GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe), NDIN (New Dietary Ingredient Notification) and other related documents, and provide safety recommendations on new formulations. Audit facilities against the Amazon Audit Standard and 21 CFR 111. Create audit reports and close out corrective action plans within timeframe and refine audit process as needed. Coordinate food safety and quality audits with manufacturing facilities including communication of audit process and scheduling. Develop system requirements to streamline and simplify tools used to manage and enhance operational productivity, accuracy, and effectiveness for customers. Evaluate effectiveness of current or future systems. Collaborate with other departments to integrate with business systems and processes. Maintain metrics, reports, and process documentation to monitor and analyze delivery performance and key controls. Manage cross-functional teams and/or third party-vendors for implementation of project/program requirements. Manage Adverse Event Reporting/Severe Adverse Event Reporting. Attend first production runs to ensure product and process match what is defined in the technical product specification.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Food Science, Nutrition, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field, and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must have 1 year of experience in the following skill(s): (1.) managing projects from design to implementation to meet regulatory requirements; (2.) identifying and providing solutions to safety and quality risks; and (3.) demonstrated knowledge of the vitamins, dietary supplements, or nutrition products manufacturing or auditing industry. Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed from anywhere in the US. Up to 40% domestic travel required.
