The AWS Event Technology Team (ETT) is at the forefront of delivering exceptional event experiences for our customers. We design, build, and support a cutting-edge platform that empowers marketers to create and manage thousands of virtual and in-person events annually, from large-scale conferences like re:Invent to smaller events.
Join our team as a Software Development Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of event technology. You will spearhead the development and enhancement of our world-class personalization and event management platform, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for attendees worldwide. Collaborate closely with AWS global marketing stakeholders, providing innovative tools, governance, and operational support to drive AWS growth and elevate attendee experiences to new heights.
Key job responsibilities
We are looking for experienced technical experts to help deliver industry leading next generation services architected for the cloud. You will be part of the team that architects, designs, and implements highly scalable distributed systems that provide availability, reliability and performance guarantees. This is a hands-on position where you will be asked to do everything from building rock-solid components to mentoring other engineers. You need to not only be a top software developer with a good track record of delivering, but also excel in communication, leadership and customer focus. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
