We are seeking an experienced ISP & Communications-focused Compliance Leader to support Amazons Project Kuiper. Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
As the lead focused on ISP & Communications compliance matters for Project Kuiper, you will be responsible for building and managing a compliance team that tackles communications-specific issues on a global scale.
This position may be based in Redmond, WA, Arlington, VA (HQ2), or New York, NY. Some travel, domestic and international, may be required.

Key job responsibilities
Create, oversee, and manage the ISP & Communications-focused Compliance Program and operational team for Kuiper’s broadband services, working closely with business, legal, and technical stakeholders across the organization. This Leader will ensure that the program and team continually assess Kuiper’s services, network, equipment, and business plans, and create compliance policies, procedures, training, and mechanisms to address and mitigate against compliance risks. The Leader will regularly report to leadership and relevant stakeholders on trends and developments in broadband compliance obligations, as well as the results of internal assessments against compliance program metrics.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10 years prior experience in leading teams in risk management or compliance-related roles with internet service and telecom providers, including creating and implementing compliance programs, policies, and procedures, compliance metrics and tracking systems, compliance auditing and testing, and investigation and remediation of compliance violations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Lots of curiosity and experience quickly learning new technologies, and industry best practices
- Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
- Strong written and oral communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $126,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $236,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
