The Amazon Music Finance team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with our Amazon Music Live team. Our Amazon Music Live team is focused on bringing innovation to the livestreaming space as we look to build scalable solutions for artists, their fans, and Amazon Music. This role provides a unique opportunity to help pioneer new features and monetization strategies in an emerging area with ownership over all associated finance functions including the development of: short- and long-term business goals, financial forecasts and analyses, and evaluation of business performance. This position will work closely with business teams to create financial models and provide decision support, including supporting product roadmap discussions, and developing new business opportunities.
The successful candidate will have the ability to tackle multiple projects and efficiently execute deliverables, is a self-starter with strong business and financial modeling skills, has a keen attention to detail and good track record of influencing business partners. The candidate will also have operated successfully in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, and problem-solve.
Key job responsibilities
• Enhancing controllership by implementing scalable financial reporting and tracking solutions
• Partnering with business stakeholders to develop, publish, and analyze key financial and operational performance metrics
• Developing detailed financial models to support new initiatives and strategies
• Leading periodic planning and forecasting efforts
• Diving deep into datasets to identify meaningful insights and drive recommended actions
• Serving as the key finance stakeholder in cross functional teams
• Leading ad hoc financial analyses
Position can be in Seattle, WA, or Los Angeles, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of finance experience or a related analytical field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA or similar accreditation
• 5-6 years of experience in a high growth company or consulting firm
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Experience and familiarity with SQL, Cognos (TM1), or similar tools
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong track record of business partnership
• Ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment
