In AWS Networking, we develop software at every level of the stack from front-end user interfaces to low-level embedded software and everything in between.

You will lead teams that are responsible to manage and vend information about all network devices, this includes operational state, topology information, and services that propagate configuration and collect network data.

Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Software Development Manager, you will own the creation and delivery of an exciting product roadmap, work closely with network engineers that build and manage the physical network, software engineering teams that build services to monitor and operate the logical network. This means we hold a high bar for test automation, verification processes, design and code reviews to ensure that our systems meet the exacting standards our customers demand.

* You will engage, influence, and align peers and senior leaders on product vision, roadmap, and investment.
* Build software services that are the authority for global AWS network operational state
* Work with network operations team in identifying issues and improving quality process.
* Ability to translate abstract requirements into clear deliverables and drive initiatives from inception through launch.
* Comfortable working in an environment that moves fast, incorporate input from various stakeholders into building a product strategy and message you present to our customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* 7 years of experience working directly within engineering teams
* Experience partnering with product OR program management teams
* 5 years of people management experience, managing engineers
* 5 years of experience architecting and designing (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Love to innovate, solve complex problems with build scalable systems and solutions.
* 10 years of experience building and leading teams.
* Master's or above in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
