The Global Fleet and Product (GFP) team’s mission is to provide the vehicles and services that enable Amazon to delight customers within our last mile operations. This Demand Planner role is responsible for the accurate Supply/Demand Planning ensuring on-time delivery of the Electrical Infrastructure Equipment to stations across last mile businesses and electrification of our Last Mile sites in preparation for operating electric delivery vehicles at scale.

This Demand Planner leads a team responsible for Sales, Inventory & Operations (SIOP) strategy of the Electrical Infrastructure Equipment (EIE) and Chargers across last mile businesses (AMZL, RSR, AMXL, Walker, US/CAN). Program scope includes partnering with Program Planning (Plan of Record), Product Team and Design Engineering to translate unique station designs and Bills of Material (BOM) into vendor-specific demand plans across 20 OEMs and 8 major equipment categories and building relationships with OEMs and 3PLs. A few key responsibilities include:
This position will have an end-to-end understanding of supply chain processes including demand & supply planning, inventory strategies and logistics. Successful candidate will have a strong Bias For Action to Deliver Results for the customer. A strong understanding of data analysis and demonstrated success in driving processes are required.. The Demand Planner must account for unique lead times across multiple categories and suppliers, balancing the issuance of purchase orders with the flow of incoming orders, existing inventory levels and future demand. The role must develop appropriate demand planning models supported by mechanism that meet the needs of the business.

There are 3 main functions: Supplier Relationship Mgmt (SPOC for suppliers, escalations, scorecards, value engineering), Planning (S&OP, inventory management, ~50-100 sites schedule alignment, flow of equipment), Risk Mitigation (Sourcing strategy, cost savings, market trends)
Basic Qualifications
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. - Design and develop scalable forecasting and demand planning models and manage supply buffers (S&OP).
- Requirement and Specification reviews with Design Engineering (BOM)
- Understand manufacturing processes to verify supply commitments and reduce cycle times
- Work with equipment suppliers to analyze, reconcile allocation and monitor changes and cancellations.
- Work with inventory management, product, design, supplier relation management team(s) to schedule production runs as per the customer need by dates and reduce risk to order delivery.
- Manage order placement and order tracking to optimize on-time shipping, fill rate, and lead time, particularly focusing on meeting/exceeding customer expectations.

- 5 years of program or project management experience
- 5 years of supply chain experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- 2 years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
