Amazon seeks a passionate Tax Manager to join the global tax reporting positions of Amazon’s foreign reporting group.
In this role, you will develop global standards on how to report under foreign tax laws and work with our foreign offices to implement those standards. The Foreign Reporting Team owns the tax position reporting and compliance for these issues. To ensure Amazon is being consistent with its reporting positions, and that those positions are properly analyzed and documented, the Foreign Team requires a Manager to manage this area and coordinate with all the global owners.
The primary responsibilities of this role will be:
- Align and standardize all foreign reporting positions to ensure consistency across each geography;
- Drive global standardization with all foreign owners affected by a particular issue;
- Ensure Amazon is taking no undue risk from inconsistent reporting positions;
- Coordinate with US Federal and US Outbound groups to ensure all foreign reporting positions are aligned with the priorities of those groups. Any divergences should be documented and signed off by appropriate team leads;
- Communicate status updates and emerging issues within Tax Leadership;
- Ensure reporting positions are properly disclosed in financial statements and tax returns; and
- Develop, implement, and maintain global controls over all Foreign Reporting & Compliance

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7 years of experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 7 years of direct tax experience
- 5 years of experience with accounting for income taxes under US GAAP, IFRS, or similar accounting rules
- Tax operational experience, including ability to drive process improvements
- Project management experience
