We are looking for a UX Manager to join us at Amazon Games with an enthusiasm for collaboration and building gamer-centric, innovative customer experiences.
In this role, you’ll lead a talented UX team, and work closely with cross-functional teams in marketing and central technology.
You’ll report to the Marketing Central Creative Sr. Manager.
As the manager of the UX team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of highly usable and visually compelling customer experiences across a variety of touch-points including game IP websites and central product initiatives.
You define and continuously improve the user-centered design process in partnership with cross-functional partners and drive operational excellence.
You create the team’s vision and define team goals. You exhibit high judgement and lead the team in navigating ambiguous problem spaces.
You hire to meet organizational goals, and are highly engaged in the development of your team.
Key job responsibilities
- Define team vision and goals to meet and exceed business and marketing objectives.
- Lead and develop a team of designers delivering user experiences for our online presence with our gaming properties including, but not limited to, our game product websites and associated online applications.
- Partner with cross-disciplinary leaders to define the strategic direction.
- Drive adoption of user centered design processes and mechanisms.
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills as well as creative problem-solving skills.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of design experience
- 3 years of leading design teams experience
- Experience leading design teams in problem definition, artifact rendering, cross-functional collaboration and delivery, and user validation and measurement
- Experience with a variety of design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Visio, Axure, and Dreamweaver
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working cross-team and synthesize feedback and input from product management, engineering, testing, and marketing
- Experience with agile / scrum
- 3 years working on games or entertainment properties.
- Proficiency with design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with generative and evaluative user research.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
- Working knowledge of design systems.
- Working knowledge of front-end development language including HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
- Working knowledge of UX writing.
- Passionate gamer with an insatiable will to get stuff done.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,400 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $225,500 / year in our highest geographic market.
Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
