Sales Associate

JOB TITLE: Full Time / Part Time Sales Associate at Shoppe Amber Interiors Newport Beach

SUPERVISOR: Store Manager

DESCRIPTION:

Shoppe Amber Interiors is seeking a sales associate for our Marin location. This role will support and execute daily sales activities while using excellent customer service to drive in-store business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maximize sales while providing a friendly customer experience
• Help guide customers through the store and determine specific needs and be able to offer accurate product and knowledge of our Shoppe, Amber Interiors, and All Sorts Of brands
• Process all point-of-sale transactions such as sales, returns, exchanges, gift cards, wedding registry purchases, and gift wrap
• Support all daily operational procedures such as maintaining inventory levels of product in-store, organization and styling of merchandise, and assisting with receiving of stock transfers
• Drive sales through memo process
• Develop meaningful customer connections and build community by increasing the customer base, proactively reaching out to customers when new items arrive, and adding all new contacts/customers to contact list
• Assist customers with custom furniture orders
• Provide product feedback to store manager and buyer
• Participate and assist with in-store events
• Encourage customers to sign up for our trade program, and registry program

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 3 years of retail experience, background in home decor and interiors preferred
• Ability to work with designer and trade clients
• Knowledge and experience of POS systems and excel
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong background in customer service and demonstrates problem-solving skills
• Thrives in a team setting
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Must live in the Bay area and have reliable transportation
• Ability to lift and mobilize large items, up to 50 lbs. while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
• Ability to work weekends, holidays and have flexibility with scheduling

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Retail sales: 2 years (Preferred)
• Shopify: 1 year (Preferred)
