We are seeking a hard-working, innovative, detail-oriented, and creative team player to join our Solar field operations department as a full-time Site surveyor. The individual we are looking for is also someone that enjoys working in a team environment but also excels atworking at an individual level.
The Site Surveyor will play a critical role in the success of the business with their regions, teams, and dealers. This will be a dual-function role. You will complete a Site Survey for our PV design teams by capturing photos needed in order to design a PV and one-line drawing. In addition, our technicians must meet with the Municipal or Utility Inspector and provide adequate information regarding the solar installation process and system components. You may also be required to perform or document needed minor maintenance and repairs on solar systems during an inspection.
$25 - $30 an hour

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Take Site Survey photos required by design and engineering teams
- Deliver predetermined photos within given SLA
- Ability to work at heights greater than 8 feet, work in extreme environments (hot and cold), perform repetitive duties for prolonged periods, and the ability to lift at least 30 pounds
- Perform PV inspections per the authority having jurisdiction
- Meet with city inspectors at the job site to complete on-site inspection
- Daily management of plan revisions that needed to be delivered on-site
- Analyze, prepare, and validate the sites before an inspection is performed
- Review inspection reports and communicate with the Local Management Team
- Ensure all documents are properly filled out correctly
- Proactively resolve equipment and system issues to troubleshoot and overcome obstacles on-site during the initial inspection
- Travel to out-of-state job sites will be required as needed.
Requirements:

- A US driver’s license that has been valid for a minimum of 4 years is required
- A clean driving record is required (no more than one moving violation in the past year and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 4 years)
- A drug test and background check will be performed on all new hires
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Have good communication skills with people of varied backgrounds and ability levels
- Trustworthy and dependable
- Effectively manage time
- Basic knowledge of home construction is preferred, but not required.
- Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements and have valid drivers license
- Knowledge of NEC and local AHJ requirements for PV installations
- 2 years of experience (minimum) with PV equipment and installation, preferably residential
- Previous experience working with power/hand tools and electrical equipment, and ability to independently navigate numerous computer applications and technology
