Responsibilities:

What do our Area District Managers do?

The responsibility of this role is to provide operational excellence within the assigned districts. The Area District Manager drives change management plans, implements strategies and deploys tactics to attain short-term and long-term financial and mission-critical operational goals.

Through their leadership, the Area District Manager is responsible for achieving Ambius’s goals and revenue growth, employee relations, business trends, and ensuring that company policies and standards are being met within the district.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Financial Performance
  • Provide oversight and take ownership to deliver multiple district locations financial targets including APBITA, revenue, profit and P&L.
  • Understand performance metrics and data including key levers to improve margins.
Leadership
  • Ability to provide leadership while supporting 2 or more district locations.
  • Enable ongoing development of Operations Managers via effective evaluations, coaching, goal-setting, and cross-region knowledge sharing
  • Coach and mentor all levels of district colleagues by using available talent tools.
  • Invest in district-level staff development by modeling effective ride-a-longs, audits, skip-level conversations, annual reviews, improvement plans, etc. skip-level conversations, annual reviews, improvement plans, etc.
  • Manage recruiting efforts including interviewing, hiring and onboarding to ensure appropriate staffing levels and talent bench strength.
  • Lead and drive organization values through quality of service, relationships and teamwork.
  • Plan and lead effective team meetings for building camaraderie and sharing best practices.
  • Nurture a high performing culture through actions, accountability and feedback
  • Champion change through the “Heart, Head and Hands” methodology
  • Establishes the following in all endeavors: Clarity of Understanding, Cadence of Accountability and controlling the controllable
Client Relationships
  • Establish and maintain effective client and customer rapport for a mutually beneficial business relationship.
  • Identify client needs and communicate operational progress through formal and informal meetings and business reviews.
  • Resolve client disputes, complaints, and any outstanding claims
  • Facilitate and support new business and retention activities.
  • Responsibility for leading team to ensure high level of account management leading to contract renewals and holiday sales, and account management
Compliance/Productivity
  • Ensure company programs and initiatives are delivered with excellence across the district
  • Follow all established standard operating procedures (SOPs) within the business and hold colleagues accountable to the same standards
  • Understand Rentokil and Ambius processes, including roadmap for safety/ structure/service offerings.
  • Serve as steward of Rentokil business model to ensure company programs and initiatives are delivered with excellence at the district level

What do you need?

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of field services management experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Business operations experience
  • Business acumen
  • Skill in managing and leading assigned projects - understanding of project management methodology including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, perform resource allocations and run team meetings
  • Skill in written and verbal communications, including public speaking
  • Skill in organization and time management - ability to work on multiple projects and manage multiple project coordinators, leads and/or managers at one time
  • Skill in group presentations and meeting management
  • Skill in providing clear and concise feedback
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Maintains a valid driver’s license
  • Skill with Google suite (Docs, Hangouts, etc)
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, methods, and techniques in the area of specialty.
  • Position may require frequent overnight travel
  • Must pass pre-employment background screen
  • Valid driver’s license/clean driving record
