What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Associate position at Ambri?
Ambri, an energy startup commercializing an innovative battery technology first developed at MIT, is seeking a Human Resources Associate. This position will work report directly to and work closely with the Director of Human Resources and provide support to the HR function by actively assisting with the recruiting process, onboarding, personnel record keeping and benefits administration.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to Ambri’s Director of HR and Recruiter.
- Assist with the coordination of all new hire pre-employment steps including, reference checks, background checks, etc.
- Organize and schedule all new employee orientation and training with appropriate personnel.
- Work closely with Ambri’s IT provider to coordinate laptop and/or equipment needs for all new hires.
- Assist with the onboarding process; collecting and filing paperwork, verifying employment, adding employees to internal platforms, etc.
- Manage and update HR databases with various information, including new hires, terminations, time off, etc.
- Assist Ambri’s Director of HR with benefits administration as needed.
- Respond to inquiries regarding employment verifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned and needed by the Company.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field.
- At least 1-3 years of previous experience working in HR.
- Experience working with highly sensitive/confidential matters.
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with various computer software including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HR software.
- Experience with BambooHR & ADP is a plus.
- Knowledge of HRIS and recruitment platforms.
- Basic familiarity with labor laws.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Ability to provide reliable support to staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
