Ambri, an energy startup commercializing an innovative battery technology first developed at MIT, is seeking a rockstar Product Manager! Do you have a passion for the grid-scale energy storage market? Are you a technical storyteller?

 

We’re looking for a Product Manager to join the Marketing team at Ambri! This is an exciting and strategic role that will help to lead go-to-market efforts, define product messaging and accelerate the success of our marketing campaigns and sales efforts. We are looking for a passionate technical storyteller to help our prospects and customers understand the value that Ambri brings to the grid and utility-scale storage landscape and why it is such a uniquely powerful solution.

Ambri’s Product Manager is the chief advocate for our product and understanding the needs of our customers AND the evolving market landscape. This is a highly cross-functional role working across all areas of the company especially engineering, sales, marketing and manufacturing. It is important to have a blend of business and technical aptitude as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This position reports to the Director of Marketing and support the goals of the department that are in line with the company strategic plan.

 

Responsibilities:


  • Create marketing messages and value propositions for different use cases, personas, and product capabilities
  • Author marketing content including blog posts, sales presentations, eBooks, webinars and brochures to support demand generation campaigns and sales execution
  • Monitor the competition, develop competitive positioning and help sellers understand and articulate our differentiators
  • Conduct primary market research to determine customer needs and be able to communicate that back to internal stakeholders
  • Keep a beat on the market conditions and landscape to ensure our competitiveness, profitability/revenue performance relative to company strategic goals
  • Enable the sales team with messaging and content that helps them overcome objections and close deals faster.
  • Act as the voice of the customer within the organization
  • Regularly engage with current and prospective customers to identify and articulate problems that they face
  • Conduct lean product management activities such as win/loss analysis, competitive analyses and lean canvas creation
  • Help to define the product vision and maintain long-term product roadmap
  • Contribute to new product ideas and innovations
  • Perform other duties as may be required

 

Requirements: 

  • At least 3 years of experience in technical sales or marketing preferably with direct involvement in product development (e.g., in a product management role)
  • Experience in the energy storage industry is a plus
  • Outstanding and proven ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work cross-functionally spanning multiple teams
  • Systems thinker excited to learn new markets and technologies
  • Demonstrated technical writing skills, being able to take complex subjects and translate into meaningful material for customers knowledge
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize on a continual basis
  • Good sense of humor and ability to work well under tight deadlines
  • Proficiency with computer programs - MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Canva, etc.
  • Bachelors degree, preferably in an engineering or technical field
  • Higher level education in energy-related field is a plus (Master’s Degree, MBA etc.)
  • University coursework and/or certifications in the climate/sustainability/energy related field is a plus
