Construction Estimator/Project Manager

We are a General Contractor located in Maspeth, Queens, family owned and operated since 1978, seeking an experienced Construction Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. Responsibilities include estimating for both Residential and Commercial projects and oversee/managing projects from start to finish. This position is an in-person, full-time position, and requires at least 5 years of experience in the field.

Job Responsibilities:

• Establish a bidder list for each project, and issue bid invitations.
• Must be able to interpret, review and prepare project plans, proposals, blueprints, and other documents.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of project estimates and work.
• Manage construction projects from start to finish, including budgeting, scheduling, and overseeing subcontractors.
• Communicate project progress to clients, and senior management.
• Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, weekly meetings, and other meetings as needed to ensure accurate project estimates and progress.
• Create, develop, and maintain project budgets, schedules, and project plans.
• Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with construction projects.

Job Requirements:

• Excellent organizational, communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
• At least 5 years of experience in construction estimating and project management.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software as well as take-off software.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.

Pay: $70,000 starting, based on experience.

Experience: General Construction estimating: 5 years (Required)

License/Certification: SST Card (Preferred)
