Responsibilities: This Paralegal position provides transactional and regulatory legal support to the healthcare regulatory attorneys in the Company Assist with healthcare related filings and transactions Under the direction of a practicing attorney, obtain necessary information from the requestor, draft, revise and review contracts/legal documents (i.e., non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), Business Associate Agreements (BAAs), non-reliance letters (NRLs), vendor agreements etc.) Assist with organization and retention of corporate documents/filings Field questions, generate reports, quality check the input of all documents, cull expired documents, assist in education of team members Prepare and process requests for provider contracts, letters of agreement, contract amendments, and notices Prepare documents to form new entities in any state and file all materials with applicable state department(s) Draft corporate filings such as resolutions, formation documents, bylaws, amendments, annual reports etc. Prepare foreign qualification documents for all US (United States) jurisdictions and file all forms with the applicable Secretary of State for a single entity Prepare healthcare regulatory filings Act as a liaison/intermediary between legal and other departments within the company Maintain corporate books and records as requested and ensure compliance with various state laws, internal and external auditor requirements, and company bylaws and operational agreements Request and prepare weekly/month legal expenditure reports in collaboration with the finance department Perform legal research and compile statutes, regulations, and legislative histories using electronic research tools Directly assist DocGo’s Legal Department with external litigation concerning corporate /healthcare legal matters, litigation, researching law, investigating facts, and preparing documents Performs additional duties as needed. Qualifications: A minimum of three (3) years of experience working as a Paralegal in the healthcare field Experience performing the above-referenced tasks Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate Strong knowledge of legal principles and practices, legal research techniques, legal terminology, and legal communication principles and practices Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to prioritize multiple projects Strong detailed oriented skills, especially regarding drafting, proofreading, and editing EEO/AAP Statement: DocGo is an equal opportunity employer.
