AMC Custom Builders, a fast growing residential general contractor in Lake Park / West Palm Beach, has an immediate opening for a Project Assistant. We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team! This position offers room for growth and advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare/assist with monthly owner billing (AIA) and Schedule of Values.
- Coordinate month-end billing activities.
- Prepare submittals, RFI’s, subcontracts, change orders, and track status of all documents with subcontractors and Architects.
- Maintain drawings in Procore for each project.
- Provide direct support to the Project Management Team.
- Maintain project record documents and files per contractual agreement with the owner.
- Prepare, submit, and track expense reports.
- Maintain and track punch list items.
- Prepare closeout documents, O&M manuals, and As-Built, per project requirements.
- Maintain/process subcontractor agreements, change orders, purchase orders, certificate of insurance for subcontractors and vendors.
- Track and process warranty related claims as required.
- Verify subcontractor insurance compliance per contractual requirements.
- Assist in preconstruction tasks as required.
Skills:
- Knowledge in AIA G702/G703 billing principles.
- Proficiency with financial systems applications, MS Excel, MS Office, Procore, DocuSign & Sage 300.
- Must understand policies and procedures and able to identify problems and make recommendations for resolution.
- Must be highly organized, able to prioritize competing demands, detail oriented, maintain accuracy, and self-check work.
- Able to work independently, with some oversight, and in team environment.
- Must follow established procedures and execute directions to completion without need of follow up by management.
- Must have good work ethic and integrity. Must be dependable, adaptable, cooperative, and motivated to take on new responsibilities.
- Professional written and verbal communication abilities and general office skills.
- Must take initiative. Must be a team player and independent thinker.

Education and Experience Requirements:
At least 1-3 years of related experience in construction industry is required.
Full-time schedule is M-F from 8am-5pm.
