Aerial Construction Telecom Line Tech Forman
Job Posting for Aerial Construction Telecom Line Tech Forman at AMcomm Telecommunications Inc.
The Telecom Line Tech works in an outside plant environment placing, rearranging and removing poles, pulling, lashing and stranding. As an aerial Line Tech, you’ll install lines and cables (including fiber) using various construction equipment.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of aerial Line Tech, telecommunications experience preferred
- Properly climb poles with the ability to safely use gaffs and ladders
- Candidate should be able to perform all duties in telecom pole line construction
- Proficient in new build, coax & fiber installation and pole transfers
- Operate construction equipment and machinery
- Install poles and place wires or cables
- String and maintain wire (Pulling, Lashing, Stranding )
- Interpret engineering work plans
- Must be able to work nights and weekends, if necessary
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to carry 75-80 lbs., to include an extension ladder.
- Must be able to work at heights of 20 ’ feet
- Must be able to bend, stand, sit, crawl, climb and lift throughout the work shift
- Read and interpret engineering plans
- Keep a detailed record of work activity
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- CDL Driver License is a PLUS
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
