Job Description Position Overview: Provide blow mold technical support and engineering services for all aspects of 2-step PET blow molding machinery maintenance and processing. Lead blow mold machine audits, relocation and retrofit projects. Responsible for adherence to machine specifications, manufacturing oversight, installation consultation, and machine functionality. Lead blow mold technical support technicians in the execution of platform corrective actions and improvement. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Inspect and audit existing equipment condition including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems as well as compliance with existing Amcor Safety policy. Identify and document in a standard format any safety and condition issues with recommended parts/labor required to resolve. Communicate audit findings to group, plant and Ops Eng leadership with appropriate escalation dependent on severity. Lead equipment installation, processing, and machine retrofit work. Ensure Amcor specifications are met and all Amcor functionality is present and correct. Determine and orders appropriate materials required to complete installation, retrofit, or repair of blow molding machines. Understand both theoretical and practical mechanical specifications of blow molding machines. Use blueprints, drawings, schematics, layouts and equipment manuals to complete installation, retrofit, or repair work and identify/troubleshoot equipment electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic or mechanical malfunctions Fabricate parts as needed using welding and metal working skills Work with Amcor plant resources to investigate root causes of ongoing production issues related to blow molding machines. Work with OEMs to resolve open production issues related to blow molding machines. Ensure plant personnel are knowledgeable in the benefits and utilization of machine features and functionality. Support plant personnel and Ops Eng program managers with new product launches requiring machine retrofits or advanced blow molding technologies. Create and maintain project files for each project. Effectively communicate with vendors and internal departments Maintain clean work area and perform general housekeeping duties. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Amcor Rigid Plastics safety procedures. Qualifications: Associate’s Degree in Engineering/related discipline or equivalent experience Minimum of 10 years industrial maintenance experience Minimum of 5 years blow molding mechanical experience. Sidel experience is essential.
