To find out more about our commitment to sustainability and about Amcor, visit www.amcor.com.  Job Description Job Overview The Commercial Insights and Strategy Analyst works directly with cross-functional internal teams to develop customer, market, and competitor insights that directly enable customer targeting and organizational growth. They seamlessly leverage internal and external data sources to define market opportunities across the business. With guidance from the CIS Manager, the Analyst will work closely with other Market Segment leaders to define, dimension, and address new business and/or products along with supporting the development of these opportunities through lead generation. The Analyst also crystalizes key-takeaways and insights from data with cross-functional partners on the business. Job Dimensions Geographic Scope: primary location Oshkosh or Deerfield, hybrid assignment with remote up to 50% of time, travel requirements up to 20% Number of colleagues directly reporting to this job: 0 Principal Accountabilities Leverage external, syndicated data sources to develop actionable insights on market opportunity, Amcor performance and competitive threat. Identify and quantify relevant risks and opportunities for account and/or market level growth, customer and competitor share of wallet. Assist with development market sizing, market opportunity and competitive landscape in collaboration with internal teams to support creation of compelling Amcor value propositions, supported with claims. Utilize this methodolgy and capability on new platforms and expanded market opportunities. Create reports and presentations that crystalize internal and external findings that enable organizational action. Act as Internal expert on marketing tools and concepts including retail, foodservice and consumer data Investigate competitive capabilities to create benchmarking that informs the development of compelling Amcor value propositions for current products and new innovation Support on-going reporting for customer and competitor data to identify and inform the organization on trends and opportunities. Major challenges & complexities Must have command of Amcor internal reporting systems and data definitions Must be able to aligning external market data with internal data Crystalize key-takeaways and insights from complex data Developing insights from big data sets Knowledge across the complexity, breadth and depth of markets, both those that AFNA competes in as well as growth areas Collaborate with teams across a diverse range of job functions and capabilities Relationships Internal Segment Marketing Segment / Integrated Sales R&D Commercial Finance Commercial Excellence Marketing Communications Product Management External Sales and marketing toolkit service providers Qualifications/Requirements Formal Qualifications and Experience A four year degree is required One or more years of experience in a manufacturing company or analyst setting is preferred Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Behaviours Critical thinking, creates new ideas or develops alternative ways to solve problems Research reports Pays attention to trends and issues, links to potential impact on AFNA and own work Customer focus, providing high quality service and products to internal customers Effective self-management and time prioritization Collaboration and input across a wide range of functions and colleagues Our Expectations We expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
