Amcor Flexibles North America (AFNA), a division of Amcor, operates across 35 plants and employs 9,000 colleagues within North America with headquarters in Chicago, IL and Oshkosh, WI. AFNA makes flexible packaging solutions for food and beverage, healthcare, and home and personal care applications. Job Description This role provides support in daily accounting services to the division and/or plant through: (i) the analysis of financial and operational reports, (ii) research and query of data, (iii) leading month/quarter/year-end financial closing processes, (iv) analyzing operating and financial results and identifying improvements. WHAT YOU GET TO DO Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities, promoting an environment where each employee makes safety their first priority Prepare and review plant and/or corporate reporting activities relating to fixed asset, inventory, sales, customer rebates, standard cost, and government reporting. Support various aspects of the monthly/quarterly/yearly close process (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, expense analysis, and trend analysis) Partner with site controller to develop annual budgeting process Prepare and analyze monthly financial reporting and other business data Develop reports and queries from the financial data for analysis, tracking, and/or reporting data to other departments Assist in analyzing operating and financial results to identify trends and activities driving those results; make recommendations for potential improvements Ensure adequate controls and procedures Monitor and maintain internal accounting controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements Support internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
