Job Description
ROLE OVERVIEW
Maintenance Technician, reporting to Project & Facilities Manager, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains plant production machinery, support equipment, building, and other systems throughout the site to maintain optimum operating conditions and plant productivity. The Maintenance Technician also assists with related upgrades, improvements, and assigned projects as required.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
Troubleshoot repairs and maintain a variety of production machinery and equipment including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and parts.
Install, modify and relocate machinery and equipment and perform fabrication, welding, mechanical, electrical, electronics, plumbing, carpentry, or other maintenance skills.
Repair and modify building and plant systems as required.
Receive and perform assignments through work orders, sketches, PM schedules, blueprints, etc.
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance of assigned plant equipment, machinery and systems including gauges, filters, fluid levels, system readings, cooling tower, gas burners, air compressors, chillers, etc.
Requisition and secure materials, tools, and supplies needed for assignments.
Use a wide range of shop, hand, and power tools common to the various trades applied.
Maintain specified records, logs and system readings.
Troubleshoot and repair of components such as rolls, shafts, bearings, drive belts, drive chains and gear boxes utilizing basic mechanic’s hand and power tools.
Troubleshoot and repair of pumps, valves and piping systems to include pipe threading.
Troubleshoot and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders and controls.
Document work completed on MP2 work orders.
Follow prescribed environmental, safety and health rules.
Comply with sanitation guidelines and cGMP related to neatness, product cleanliness and hygiene.
Other tasks as assigned.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
High School Diploma or GED
5 Years manufacturing experience and training in Process Control & Instrumentation (temperature, flow, pressure, level, etc.), Power Distribution (480 vac & below), and Machine Control.
Technical training equivalent to that generally obtained in a two-year college or apprenticeship program.
Knowledge of mechanical blueprint reading and an understanding of basic water treatment principles.
Experience in printing and converting industries.
