At Amcor Rigid Packaging (ARP), our teams are focused on developing and making plastic bottles and jars that create a unique experience and are better for the environment. Our bottles and jars are primarily made from PET (polyethylene terephthalate), which has rapidly become the world’s preferred packaging material. PET is lightweight, shatterproof, recloseable, resealable, reusable and infinitely recyclable*.

With approximately 6,000 people across about 50 manufacturing operations in 11 countries and an annual revenue of US$2.9 Billion, ARP provides rigid packaging solutions to the beverage, pharmaceutical, food, and home and personal care segments.

• Evaluate 3rd party service options, capabilities, profitability and develop best overall business recommendations via make versus buy analysis.
• Incremental support to sales teams who are currently handling a wide variety of third-party activities including decorating, case packing and assembly
• Evaluate decoration and case packing capabilities and compare to internal capabilities
• Lead key third party negotiations looking for opportunities to improve profitability
• On-board new deco business, ensure proper payment and tracking
• Become ARP Commercial SME around decoration strategy and competitive landscape
• Monitor internal capabilities and capacity to determine when to bring volume back to Amcor
• Work cross functionally ensuring Supply Chain collaboration, Quality follow-ups, Procurement responsiveness
• Standardize vendor interactions and efficiency
• Participate on longer-term strategy around in-house decoration capabilities and investment needed

• 
  Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
• 5-7 years’ experience working with and negotiating with third party service providers
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and communicate well with internal and external stakeholders
• Self-starter able to drive business results across multiple segments
• Experience with Consumer Good Packaging, decorating, or co-packing operations
• Strong sense of urgency and accountability
• Be able to manage multiple priorities
• Quick learner of new technologies as related to decoration, packaging, filling, etc.
• High degree of familiarity with a variety of software applications, eg. MS Office, SAP
• Travel 25%-50%
