Job Description ROLE OVERVIEW This role is the on-site finance lead helping drive profitability and capital discipline. The Plant Controller is responsible for the organization, direction, and controls of all aspects of the plant based financial activities which includes timely and accurate reporting to Amcor in full compliance with Amcor policies, develops, analyses and interprets financial information to support effective business decisions. This position plays a key leadership role on the plant leadership team and is the direct finance business partner to the site plant manager. The plant has $120m of annual sales and 250 headcounts. WHAT YOU GET TO DO Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities, promoting an environment where each employee makes safety their priority. Be the Finance Business Partner for the Plant General Manager, local management team and plant profit team. Influence & play key partnership role and challenge plant leadership to drive performance. Take ownership of Plant P&L, inventory (working capital), annual budget, forecasts, and financial comparisons and explanations of actual results versus the financial estimates Analyze and interpret operating and financial results to identify trends and activities driving those results and make recommendations to improve performance. Understand and utilize profitability tools (e.g., Customer Profitability, Procurement and Continuous Improvement tools etc.) and give strategic guidance on customer profit performance and trends. Provide analysis and commentary for decision making support (including capital investment) Be the key site-based finance professional: Advance and support key projects including request for investments. Validation and articulation of finance related KPI’s Prepare and analyze sales, material usage, cost statements, profit and loss, manufacturing & labor KPI’s. Balance sheet analysis for key accounts, including inventory and preparation or approval for account reconciliations. Leverage Business Groups wide resources (Business Unit Team, Operations Finance Director, IT, Shared services etc.) when needing input, support or help. Understand and ensure compliance with DOA, internal controls, accounting policies, and SOX. Execute human capital processes: Goal setting, performance reviews, human capital planning, and career development for all direct reports (if applicable) and/or as leadership team member in plant. Support training and development of the financial acumen of the plant leadership team. Experience –5 years Manufacturing experience a must, leadership experience preferred.
