Job Description

Amcor is currently seeking enthusiastic, reliable coworkers to join our production team in New London for the summer of 2024!

At Amcor, Safety is our number one value. All employees act as safety leaders in all responsibilities.

Positions available working Monday through Friday 8 hour shifts working either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd (shift determined based on business needs)

• Starting rate of pay being $17.34/hour
• Work our 8 hour shift in New London and enjoy weekends off with night shift premiums when you work 2nd and 3rd shift!
  
  

What Summer Helpers Get To Do

• Responsible for following all plant and department specific safety and security rules, procedures, and programs. Must wear all required personal protective equipment for all plant, department, and task specific requirements.
• Attend required training on all OSHA and facility required Safety programs.
• Responsible for reporting all injuries, near misses and property damage incidents to the Shift Supervisor immediately after the incident.
• Help in keeping the facility clean, i.e. sweeping and trash removal.
• Responsibility to report to the Shift Supervisor any and all safety issues.
• Train and work as a Rewind Assistant, Blown Film Assistant, Scrap Hauler, Coating Assistant, or Press Assistant position as needed for production requirements.
• Actively participate and support Continuous Improvements efforts, such as WCOM, Safety Teams.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
  
  

Physical Requirements For All Entry-level Manufacturing Positions

• Ability to lift up to 50-60 lbs
• Willing and able to stand and walk for a 8 hour shift
• Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting
• Frequent use of wrist and hands
• Frequent stepping up and down from platforms

What We Want From You

• Previous manufacturing experience a plus, not required
• Knowledgeable and able to understand a computer and programs
• Possess adequate math, measurement, and reading skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills
• Required to have visual acuity to perform visual inspection including the use of measurement devices and ability to identify and distinguish colors
• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with others in a team environment
