Amentum is seeking an Electrical Foreman to join our team to support their domestic construction project in Las Cruces, New Mexico. If you don't reside in New Mexico, we also provide air travel to/from site, lodging, and meals & incidentals. This particular assignment will last until at least September 2022 before you are moved on to another assignment.
You enjoy figuring out what is wrong with a piece of electrical equipment and using your knowledge to fix it, and your passion for the field is evident by your Journeyman Electrician License. With your strong work ethic, you are the kind of dependable teammate we are looking for.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Responsible for work procedures, scheduling, cost control, project specification conformity, establishment of manpower levels, monitoring and implementation of safety programs, project conformance to national, local and/or company building codes and the maintenance of accurate records.
- Implement the construction portion of the assigned project through day-to-day direction of all field activities and is responsible for all job site activities.
- Ensure timely and efficient execution of fieldwork.
- Act as a customer contact for all construction project field activities.
- Ensure all construction is in compliance with design specifications, is completed on schedule, adheres to budget, meets accounting requirements and is built to quality standards.
- Under limited direction, has responsibility for all construction activities on a project.
- Report to the Project Manager and is thoroughly knowledgeable and fully accountable with considerable latitude in decision making.
- Interpret, organize and coordinate work assignments.
- Function as a Project Manager on a direct-hire construction-only project or as the field manager on an engineering/ procurement/construction management project.
- Under general direction, responsible for managing very large and/or complex construction projects.
- Conduct work requiring independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard construction techniques.
- May work on unusually complicated projects.
- Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
- Follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.

Minimum Requirements
- Journeyman Electrician License
- Vocational/technical training beyond High School
- At least 7 years’ experience in the electrical trade
- Due to the nature of the work, must be a U.S. citizen
- Must have an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility AND polygraph
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous overseas experience
- Experience in multiple trade skills - (i.e. Carpentry / Plumbing)
- Masters Electrical Certification
