Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the World LOTO Coordinator Amentum is seeking a LOTO Coordinator for the Bluegrass Chemical Agent Destruction Pilot Plant project located in Richmond, KY. Typical Responsibilities Include: Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees. Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations. May be required to work overtime or varying hours to include shift work. Be at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record. Work in close proximity to and or in a chemical demilitarization facility. Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Coordinator will work directly with LOTO Supervisor. Communicate with the control room in case of problems or malfunctions. Interface with necessary organizations to coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance activities. Ensure that high standards of housekeeping are maintained in the plant. May serve in absence of the LOTO Supervisor when necessary. Ensure that conduct of operations are reinforced and adhered to in all activities being performed. Assist in certification process by active training to promote certification, sit in review boards as a technical expert, and sign certification cards as required. Confer with operations and maintenance supervisors to determine status of assigned work orders. Evaluate and analyze workflow for assigned department and operation according to sequences and lead times established by project schedules and plans. Assist management with defining the resources and methods needed to schedule objectives and goals. Determine limited condition of operations impact of LOTO of equipment prior to release to work. Responsible for release of all lockout work, initiation of new lockouts and the subsequent authorization for clearance of lockouts for all phases of project life. Coordinate with all plant departments as needed to support hazardous energy control. Coordinate review of work packages and determine if LO/TO is required Before work can be authorized, will resolve issues and document changes and the reasons in the WINSTETTS system and assist work control in changes needed in Maximo. Work with work control to coordinate and assist with scheduling of upcoming activities. Provide CAE’s pre-approved LO/TO’s for PMs once they’ve been vetted & approved for installation when the PM is scheduled. Communicate with management to advise the release of field work and status of equipment affected by LOTO. Perform and supervise LOTO monthly and quarterly audits, briefing shift personnel on findings. Be able to install and convert the LOTO Program to software database and upkeep it when instituted. Evaluate and analyze workflow for assigned task according to sequences and lead times established by project schedules and plans. Maintain LOTO procedures and modify when necessary. Coordinate and participate with teams for performing procedures to accomplish plant schedules and goals. Relocation Assistance Provided. BGCAPP is subject to Army Regulations (AR50-6 Chemical Surety Program and AR190-59 Unescorted Access Program) which govern persons performing work under the Chemical Personnel Reliability Program (CPRP) and Unescorted Access Program (UAP). Eligibility to be placed in a CPRP or UAP position requires US citizenship. Employees must favorably complete a series of screenings to include but not limited to: a National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) security investigation, drug/alcohol testing and medical examination. All employees are subject to and agree to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of continued employment for the duration of their assignment. Respiratory screening and the ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) may be required for this position. The ability to obtain/maintain access to the Blue Grass Army Depot is required. FSGSG Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years’ experience in LOTO Program administration, implementation or supervision Minimum Qualifications: Must be a United States or naturalized citizen able to obtain and maintain Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (BGCAPP) site access Must be computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment Must maintain fitness-for-duty standards to perform the essential functions of the position, to include any depot or BGCAPP drill, contingency and/or emergency requirement Must be able to solve complex problems and understand the impact of decisions upon the operation of the facility Have knowledge and understanding of technical documents, including specifications, drawings, test plans, standard operating procedures and system demonstration procedures Possess strong organizational skills with ability to coordinate and prioritize projects, adapting to change as they occur Must be detail oriented and possess ability to manage complex and varied projects Must have good communication skills to provide technical assistance, presentations, and training to field personnel Desired Qualifications Supervisor or certified senior plant operator experience at a chemical demilitarization facility Experience working in toxic/hazardous material handling Experience in work management control Experience in implementation and supervision of conduct of operations program Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
