Temp-to-Hire (after a min. of 520 hrs worked) IN-OFFICE AND OUT IN THE FIELD REQUIRED No Relo or Per Diem Work Hours: 8am-5pm (possible variance) Work Days: Mon-Fri. _______________________________________________________________________________________________
What You'll Be Doing:
Have a minimum of (3) years prior experience and training in underground utility corrosion prevention.
Must have attended/passed all required Operator Qualification Training/Testing.
Will be required to inspect work performed by construction contractors and supervised by Company representatives assuring adherence to company specifications, proper work methods and appropriate use of facilities and equipment.
Must be able to read and interpret drawings, maps, plans, specifications, and procedures. They must possess the ability to keep accurate and detailed field records including daily job reports, material usage and locations and field test records.
Be knowledgeable in the requirements of OSHA. Will be required to ensure that any job they are overseeing is maintained in a safe manner and meets or exceeds Fsafety and environmental policies and procedures. Inspectors will need to make sure contractor’s equipment is being used within their limits.
Have strong organizational skills to complete daily paperwork, maps, and documentation with a clear comprehension of construction units of measurement.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Associate's Degree in a technical discipline or construction-related field, or a high school diploma and equivalent work experience, is required.
Also requires typically 3 years of related experience on field projects, as well as formal certification from an independent organization, depending on type of inspection assignment.
Some knowledge of public works contracts may be preferred.
Construction safety training including OSHA 10 hour training.
Be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
