What are the responsibilities and job description for the Treasury Management Sales Officer II position at Amerantbank?

The Treasury Management Sales Officer is responsible for assisting Business Development Officers with enhancing & deepening existing relationships and adding value by cross selling treasury products and servicing the client base within the portfolio. Generate a target amount of Treasury Management fees.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Sales of Treasury Management products and services. Meet assigned target fee income goal.
  • Demonstrate ability to identify targeted company needs and the ability to offer customized client solutions.
  • Partner with respective lines of business to provide recommendations on sales opportunities to include sales to new prospects and cross-sell opportunities to existing clients.
  • Develop cross-sell opportunities within existing RM/Branch client portfolio.
  • Assist Business Partners in meeting business service charge and deposit goals.
  • Review sales goals with Business Partners.
  • Educate and advise Business Partners and new TM product development initiatives.
  • Maintain lines of communications with Business Partners individually and as a group.
  • Assess knowledge level of individual RM’s, Business Bankers and Branch staff and bring each up to a minimum standard.
  • Exhibit proficiency in training clients on all TM products.
  • Ensure proper TM set up documentation and all required agreement execution.
  • Take ownership and deliver timely resolution of customer issues.
  • Develop knowledge of internal resources for accurate response to customer issues.
  • Recommend viable solutions to improve customer service.
  • Recommend and help develop product solutions as well as enhancing existing product set.
  • Track implementation progress.
  • Understand and communicate implementation time-line to align with customer expectations.
  • Ensure preventive measures are carried out to fully comply with current rules, regulations and internal policies relating to risks

Education and/or Certifications Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, banking or business administration required or; AA and/or 7 minimum years of experience within field.
Additional banking courses, seminars, and formal accredited credit training is desirable

Work Experience Requirements:
Five years’ experience in a Treasury Management sales role

Technical and/or Other Essential Knowledge:
Strong Sales and product knowledge is required as well as understanding of database management, independent thinking and ability to multitask.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office 365 products including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, and MS PowerPoint
