Ameresco is currently seeking a Director of Engineering to support the Central Region. This position will be located in Oak Brook, IL Responsibilities: Support sales staff to engage prospective customers and develop energy efficiency or renewable project scopes that meet customer environmental and financial goals; Develop project financial analyses including pricing sheets and cash flows; Perform technical review of energy and savings calculations; Provide review of drawings and designs provided by engineering consultants; Lead review of proposed contracts and coordinate with legal counsel to expedite completion; Review project submittals for quality assurance; Exhibit comprehensive knowledge and understanding of project and contract terms; Coordinate the development interface with project management and operations teams to assure customer satisfaction; and Perform other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications: BA/ BS Degree in Engineering or related field Minimum 15 years proven technical experience cultivating, securing, and implementing multi-million dollar energy efficiency and renewable technology projects. Additional Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to analyze and quantify energy and operational needs, use, and savings projections for energy Advanced Education (i.e.: MS, MBA) preferred. efficiency, conservation, and renewable solutions performance contracts. Excellent working knowledge of building automation and energy management systems, facility operations, and installation projects involving district chiller and boiler plants, motors, VSDs, HVAC retrofit, building automation, energy conservation, distributed generation, and renewable technology. Superior financial planning, budgeting, and organizational resource management abilities. Excellent verbal, written, technical, and computer communication and presentation skills required. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and business relationships. Advanced MS Office proficiency. Knowledge of energy analysis software desirable. Up to 20% travel.
