What are the responsibilities and job description for the Proposal Coordinator position at Ameresco?
Ameresco has a new opportunity for a Proposal Coordinator to join our established, dynamic Northeast Region Proposal Team. This position is located at Ameresco’s corporate headquarters in Framingham, MA.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and production of renewable energy, energy savings performance contracting, design-build and facilities maintenance project proposals;
- Responsible for all aspects of proposal development including retrieving solicitation documents, identifying submission requirements, submitting questions, monitoring for amendments to requirements, building and populating the proposal document, printing or submitting electronically, shipping and providing timely follow up to post proposal requests for information from the customer and/or internal staff;
- Coordinate draft sections from all proposal team contributors. Rewrite, edit and proofread proposal drafts to ensure materials meet appropriate style standards, are consistent in voice and are free of grammar and spelling errors; Integrate, format and publish draft, review with team and prepare final version of proposal documents;
- Build the proposal compliance matrix, track fulfillment of all requirements and conduct regular proposal progress status meetings;
- Develop and maintain proposal content, including creating and editing graphics for use in proposals and presentations;
- Create PowerPoint presentations as part of supporting sales team and customer requests for qualifications packages and/or proposal highlights;
- Work independently, as well as part of a team, on both simple and more complex proposals; and
- Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Business or related technical field
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work-related experience
Additional Qualifications:
- Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, Adobe software, and SharePoint.
- Strong document formatting, page design and layout skills.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in collaborative (as well as virtual) team environments.
- Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize to meet multiple deadlines.
- Must be willing to work overtime when necessary.
- Self-starter and ability to work under deadlines.
