Condition Report Writer

Condition Report Writers are responsible for the completion of vehicle condition inspections and related reporting, including but not limited to: Identifying and assessing structural damage, body/paint condition, and alignment of vehicle body panels. You will identify repairs, detect missing parts, identify mechanical problems, and grade vehicles based upon their damage and wear

Responsibilities

• Take specific photos of every vehicle as instructed
• Inspect vehicles for damage and wear
• Notate and photograph any damage and/or wear found
• Drive vehicles in accordance with auction safety protocols
• Assist with getting vehicles operating as needed. If necessary, inflate tires, fill fuel tanks and jump-start vehicles. Notify a supervisor when a vehicle is inoperative.
• Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Actively participate in support of all safety activities
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
• You may be required to work overtime as business needs dictate

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in the automotive industry
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to drive vehicles with manual and automatic transitions
• Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Constantly required to enter and exit vehicles
• Ability to walk long distances

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
