Description
This is a 12-month, full-time, benefits-eligible, tenure track position. The position would serve as 100% faculty for the College of Nursing. This position is supervised by the College of Nursing Assistant Dean and will be based at one of the following College of Nursing sites: Brookings, Sioux Falls, or Rapid City.

Key Responsibilities
Faculty members plan, implement, and evaluate assigned courses either as an individual assignment or as a member of a teaching team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing;
- A Ph.D. in nursing or related field, completed by start date;
- One graduate degree must be in nursing;
- Potential for (Assistant Professor) or demonstrated record (Associate or Full) of excellence in teaching;
- Potential for (Assistant Professor) or demonstrated record (Associate or Full) of excellence in research/scholarship;
- Licensed by the South Dakota Board of Nursing or eligible for licensure as a registered nurse as evidenced by current licensure in another state;
- Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills;
- Valid driver’s license, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire, and willingness to travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels.;
- A history of successfully funded research and relevant clinical practice;
- Active program of research and dissemination;
- Experience with simulation technology and distance delivery;
- Demonstrated potential or ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams;
- Evidence of service to the nursing profession;
- Degree education from more than one degree granting institution.
