What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Carpenter Apprentice position at American Cabinets & Closets?
American Cabinets & Closets is locally owned custom cabinet shop and we are looking for an entry level shop carpenter apprentice to assist in the manufacturing of custom cabinetry. Candidate will perform general shop duties such as sanding, sweeping, using shop tools and saws and will also have the opportunity to assist in operating a CNC router as needed including loading and unloading of materials and general machine maintenance.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in a cabinet or woodworking shop preferred
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of or ability to learn various woodworking machines including table saws, miter saws, sanders, edgebander, CNC router, etc.
- Ability to lift and carry 4x8 sheets of plywood
- Have a positive attitude
- Must be reliable and pay attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and focus on quality and accuracy
- Self-motivated
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
