What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Coordinator position at American Cap Company Inc?
SUMMARY: A working supervisor position which performs general cleanup and organization of the plant utilizing a forklift. This position maintains various plant operations by the transport, and relocation of production materials throughout the plant. Assists in keeping production floor organized which will result in a safer and productive manufacturing process
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Will include the following but is not limited to:
Provides continual flow of production for all plant departments.- Using a forklift, or crane to load and unload racks in Inventory department.
- Responsible for housekeeping and general appearance of production area(s).
- Responsible for part identification and verification through use of CSMS number system prior to transport of material.
- Record inventory information (i.e. order number and piece count).
- Record and perform daily, weekly, and monthly Inventory transactions.
- Responsible for stacking of parts for safe transport to next operation.
- Maintaining clean aisles and production areas of specified department.
**Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Valid forklift / tow motor certification.- Prior experience in use of overhead crane.
3. Capable of lifting 25lbs. continuously.
4. Good attendance and/or performance record.
5. Must possess good production record with ability to work under minimal supervision.
6. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
7. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
8. Ability to enter data into a computer.
If candidates do not meet all of the above requirements, ACC at its discretion can provide additional training in the appropriate areas for job qualification.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Driver’s License- Valid tow motor/fork lift certification
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE: The employee will be expected to meet efficiency ratings of 80% or better after completion of 90 calendar days and have 0% defective parts.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The associate frequently is required to sit, walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to support production needs.
The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision (with or without corrective lenses), and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Production paced forklift/tow motor operations to support customer (internal and external) demands.
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must maintain an orderly, clean and safe work area and properly care for Company and Customer property.
