We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator that is ready to join a fast pace team that has been experiencing rapid growth. This position will collaborate with multiple departments to facilitate the management of shipments from inception to delivery. Responsibilities
Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
Respond to customer concerns and queries professionally
Be a liaison between customers and carriers
Data entry of orders and third-party information in our proprietary TMS software
Maintain data integrity in our proprietary TMS software
Select qualified carriers to help meet customer expectations
Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound phone calls
Making special shipping arrangements as necessary
Preparing transportation-related documents for customers and carriers
Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards
Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized
Collect transportation-related documents from carriers
Provide solutions and utilize problem-solving skills when issues arise
Communicate issues with co-workers and managers
Communicate with the sales team about customer needs and requirements
Maintain customer accounts and monitor shipments, costs, timelines, and productivity
Experience
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
2 years of Transportation or Logistics industry experience preferred.
Ability to organize and prioritize workload; ability to meet deadlines.
Must have demonstrated critical thinking skills and be process oriented.
Possess strong communication skills (both oral and written).
Proficient in Microsoft suite
Organized: Must be highly organized, can multi-task, has good time management skills, and attention to detail.
Interpersonal: Must possess strong interpersonal skills (both verbal and written).
Self-motivation: Having a positive attitude, a strong sense of urgency, and the initiative to work independently.
Conflict resolution: Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish a rapport with others. Know how to be persuasive with the ability to stay calm.
