ABOUT THE ROLE
The main purpose of the Water Park Supervisor is:
- To assist in the daily operations of the DreamWorks Water Park including the supervision of Water Park staff and providing guests with exceptional customer service.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILTIES
- Maintain a safe work environment for both team members and guests through effective training, policies and procedures and analysis of incident reports.
- Conduct effective and regular conversations with the aquatics staff to ensure individual development and goals are being met through company performance management tools.
- Supervising and coordinating Lifeguards and facility staff to ensure that all staff are at their appropriate workstations.
- Responding to major and minor first aid situations and monitor the first aid facility staff.
- Performing administrative duties such as interviewing, new employee onboarding, accident investigations, and implement staff training programs and procedures.
- Responding to guest concerns and special requests, while utilizing exceptional customer service and conflict resolution skills.
- Presenting a professional appearance and attitude at all times and enforce safety rules and regulations.
- Being actively involved in creating and maintaining a safe environment for all staff and guests.
- Other Supervisory duties as required.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 18 years of age, personable, have good attendance and availability.
- Outgoing and personable, with a commitment to excellence in public relations. Must be people oriented and have excellent communication skills that include speaking, writing, reading and understanding of the English language.
- Must be an outstanding leader with a commitment to teaching and mentoring peers and subordinates.
- Pool Supervisor and Operator (CPO) training an asset, employee relations training and/or Safety Management Training an asset.
- Hold current (or willing to obtain) E&A (Ellis and Associates) license and E&A Basic Leadership Training license
- E&A Instructor license preferred (or willing to obtain)
- Two (2) years in an Aquatic/Waterpark Facility Supervisor or Lifeguard Supervisor role.
- Experience working successfully with a variety of employees, including mentoring employees new to the workforce.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills complemented by team building and motivational abilities.
- Safety-minded and has the ability to stay calm in emergency situations.
- This is a full-time position that requires flexible availability Monday through Sunday including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work in a hot and humid environment and in close proximity to water and chlorine. Potential hazards include:
- water
- chlorine
- leaning chemicals.
- Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
- Complete all E&A Special Facilities prerequisite skills
