Product Manager III
As a technical product manager, you will drive the implementation of data management and governance processes and technologies across many lines of Egencia’s business. You will work with the data architect, data governance analysts, engineering teams, and various stakeholders to understand, communicate, and implement the milestones of our data management roadmap. During development you will manage the backlog with key stakeholders, triage issues and risks, track resourcing needs, and regularly report execution status to leadership.
You will have an opportunity to acquire vast knowledge of our data ecosystem by working together with diverse global teams, spanning technical functions, like data producers and consumers, to business functions, like marketing, finance, customer experience, and legal.
What you’ll do:
Oversee the data management lifecycle from inception and planning through end-user adoption
Develop project schedules, define timeframes, and prioritize tasks to deliver intended objectives within the agreed timeframes and ensuring that requirements are completed
Identify the types of resources required to support a project, and make recommendations for specific people, technology, partners
Partner with the product and engineering lead(s) to ensure the roadmap and backlog priorities are maintained to enable a smooth development and adoption processes and minimize blockers
Identify and communicate key dependencies. Partner with dependent teams to achieve prioritization against road map
Monitor the team’s development velocity and facilitate the resolution of risks and blockers
Lead communication and solution delivery across cross-functional operating teams
Communicate status, risks with resolution plan, upcoming milestones, and recent releases to leadership teams
Manage resolution of urgent issues while communicating changes to business stakeholders
Facilitate relationships between teams, move initiatives forward, find resources, raise concerns to appropriate owners early and resolve open issues that prevent progress
Hold people accountable when schedule or progress is in jeopardy while maintaining respectful relationships in difficult situations
Predict roadblocks and obstacles, establishing meetings or integration points between teams.
Maintain and refine programs and initiatives, establishing standard methodologies, next steps, and outcomes
Who you are:
Bachelor's in Arts or Science; or Equivalent related professional experience
Solid understanding of data platforms and data strategies for large scale organizations
Experience with data management and data governance practices and processes at-scale
Track record delivering complex cross-organizational projects on time and on budget
Demonstrated experience building effective project/program plans and managing development processes, business stakeholders, engineering, and functional teams during execution
Experience collaborating on a cross-functional and cross-geography team
Ability to lead teams through issue resolution and risk management
Strong communication skills, including the ability to convey sophisticated and abstract concepts to both technical and business teams, peers, and leadership
Outstanding influencing skills, including experience working within a large matrix organization
Exceptional collaboration, business insight, and customer advocacy skills
