Amex Digital Labs is responsible for catalyzing digital innovation at American Express by originating, incubating, and managing emerging products and platforms that can be essential to our customers’ digital lives. We strive to emphasize creativity, customer centricity, and innovation. Focus areas include crafting industry-leading digital payment solutions, using our outstanding servicing network and lifestyle assets to build digital experiences, and defining new products and services based on emerging technologies and trends.

We’re looking for an Associate Product Manager to support the launch and evolution of our digital initiatives. The person taking this role will help define product features, shape the customer experience, articulate, and deliver requirements, and assist with customer testing. This is a fast-paced team driving the development of digital solutions and partner experiences at American Express. 

Primary responsibilities:

• Coordinate across teams to launch products and features focused on driving positive customer experiences and business outcomes

• Support innovation efforts to elicit the development of new ideas that bring value to our customers

• Gather customer feedback and key metrics in order to inform your product decisions and drive improvements in future releases

• Maintain pulse on external trends, competitive intelligence, and emerging technology to evolve and further innovate our products

• Partner closely with engineering on the end-to-end product development journey to bring our customer visions to life.

• Evaluate and prioritize feature enhancements and product backlog while balancing the needs of customers, internal stakeholders, and partners.

• Communicate risks, dependencies and product roadmap changes to team members and partners

Depending on role and business needs, colleagues will either work onsite, in a hybrid model (combination of in-office and virtual days) or fully virtually.

If the role you are applying for is designated as hybrid or onsite, you will be required to demonstrate that you have completed your primary COVID-19 vaccination series (i.e., 2 doses for Moderna/Pfizer and 1 dose for J&J) and, for medically eligible* colleagues, a booster shot, in order to work in or visit any of our offices. This requirement is subject to legally required accommodations.

*Booster eligibility: The CDC has established guidelines for when adults are eligible to receive booster shots depending on when they completed their initial vaccine series (currently five months after the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines, and two months after the J&J Vaccine). If you have completed your primary vaccine series but have not yet reached your booster eligibility date, you will be able to come into the office; however, you will need to complete your booster within 30 days of becoming eligible to continue coming in and participating in company-sponsored in-person events.
